WOWZA!

I picked stuff from the garden this morning and had it all resting on the countertop waiting to be washed and taken care of. Sara dropped in and noticed that one zucchini was quite a bit larger than the others. She wondered if there was a maximum size limit they would reach or if they would continue to keep growing and growing until you picked them. Indeed, I believe they do keep on growin' Sara. Here's proof!

(A forgotten zucchini Dusty missed a few days ago.)

Here's with a regular sized zucchini. I think we can all tell who's the clear winner

Practically as tall as Tyson

Dusty put Tys in the wading pool the other day. We haven't really had him play in it as much as we thought we would, so he is just getting used to it.

ONE: Tyson testing out the water

TWO: Sitting for 1 whole minute

THREE: All ready to get out!

Daddy saves the day

All in all, it was a fun swim

Some of my new favorite things

Last night at Book Club, we discussed Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. Let's just say it was two hours of some good girl talk. Everybody just seemed as taken with the book as I was. I want to recommend it to all ya'all out there as well. Loads of readers had already told me to read it, and I'm glad that I finally did! I have New Moon and Eclipse coming from Amazon in a couple of days, but one of the ladies gave me her copy of New Moon because she said she knew I couldn't wait for my copy to arrive. She was right! I finished it today, and am loving the series.

I went to Stephenie's website and she has discussed the book that will be the fourth book in the series (Breaking Dawn). Then, to my absolute delight she gave us a chapter of a new book coming out (not too soon sadly) of a companion novel to Twilight called Midnight Sun which gives the first person telling to Edward this time. OHHHH! Read it here. His side of the story is fabulous so far! Another fun thing Stephenie has done on her website is give playlists of music for each book. She says that she listened to the songs over and over as she was writing. I think this idea is great. If gives us a better idea of the correct tone that she wants the book to have. Linkin Park, for example makes the playlist quite a bit.

Since the second two books were printed in hardcover, I am ordering the first in hardcover as well, since the first publishing was only paperback. I know some of you like your sets to match as I do, so if you didn't know they were reprinting, now you do!

Another great thing I have discovered is by Green Tea Honey Drops Body Cream by Elizabeth Arden. This smells so great in a down-to-earth wear it everyday of your life sort of way. I think my Mom would actually like the smell of this one. :) I got my at our local Sally's Beauty Supply.

Fishing and Red Chairs

This weekend was a fun one. We traveled all the way up to Milford, (don't worry if you don't know where it is, most people don't), so that Dusty could look at some lots by the golf course that he wants to purchase. Surprise, surprise, that wasn't the highlight of our trip. We took Megan along with us, who was gracious enough to be crammed in the backseat with Tyson and his carseat, and we wanted to eat at a Chinese place that we'd heard was good. We get there, look at the lots, and drive to the eating establishment. Which was closed. As in not ever opening up again. We stopped a man on the street and had a wierd conversation with him. He let us know that the man who had owned the restaraunt had died in a car accident after he had had two heart attacks. Sad. Then the guy started to quiz us about what kind of eating place we would like to have in Milford (like we would ever care) if we stopped back through. Ummmm, we don't know?

We ended up eating at "the diner", which it was in fact. It was a little run down for being the only place there that sells food, but the point of the matter is: this experience reminds me of something that would have happened on our way to Alaska, or in Alaska actually. Strange events like this seem to follow Dusty around.

The next day, we went up to Navajo Lake with our friends Jeff and Lanae. It was bright and early. Good thing Tyson wakes us up at the crack of dawn.

Here's Dusty, hoping the fish are planning to bite.

I'm not sure how excited Tyson is to be strapped in his stroller, but for now, it's working out nicely.

Lanae, brought along her books for some quiet time.

Jeff, also hoping that we can catch something yummy.

As usual, I am not documented as being there, but I promise I was.

I had to show my fun new find. I saw this chair in a catalog made by these guys, but actually bought it here.

Tyson thinks it's his little climbing gym. He was doing a really funny manuver with his leg in the air, but I couldn't quite catch it on film. There are lots of colors to choose from.
