i heart apple

When we were shopping for computers we looked at probably every different brand out there. Basically, I just wanted to have the internet. But Dusty thought we should give an Apple computer a try. I hadn't used one since, like, 3rd grade. I was thinking. What? An archaic piece of machinery? Then we went to the Apple Store in SLC and I was sold. I love the sleek look, the simple operation systems, and most of all, i tunes, i photo, i dvd, and i movie, etc. So much fun to use and so easy. Kindof need an i phone to go with them.... but that's another story. So, if you are getting a new computer soon, don't be afraid. Go with Apple. Even though you might think that you couldn't get used to it, it took me like 30 minutes. Embrace the magic.

Here's some rad photos that were taken on our built-in web cam on our photobooth software. I'll let you decide who's who.

Celebrity Look Alikes????

With a not-too-flattering photo, I found out who "actually looks like me". Thanks to Allie, I thought I would send this out to the masses.

Birthdays and Swimming Pools

Tyson turned one on the 18th. I can't believe it. It's fun having an "older" child, but I miss my sweet little baby who would sleep all day long in my arms. We didn't have a big bash or anything. Just cake and icecream and some present opening. Honestly, Tyson was pretty overwhelmed the whole time and cried for most of it. I'm glad that we didn't have a million people over to have to hear him. We have also been going to swimming lessons with Kiki, Bronwyn, and Willy. Tyson loves to watch everybody splash around in the water. If I had my way, I would be in the water with them. Swimming is my absolutely most favorite thing. I would strap on my sturdy goggles (go ahead, make fun of me) and swim away. I really wish they would have had a swim team in SV when I was in High School. Pretty sad that the community doesn't have a pool actually. Something is wrong there..... We have also been swimming at the community pool here. It's a fun one. I've been working with Cubby and Kiki on underwater swimming. They don't like to go under really. They are getting better though. Last night, I finished the Harry Potter book. Couldn't stop myself. Thought the book was fantastic. Laughed? Check. Cried? Check. Screamed out in suspense? Check. I have throroughly enjoyed my Harry Potter experience. I feel just like Willy does, who said, "I just wish the books would keep coming forever and ever". Like Christmas morning, I suppose it is the anticipation that is best part of it all. I have also been helping Kiki and Cub make cute Swing Bags for themselves. We're averaging about an hour a bag. Not too shabby. No pictures today, so tune in again!

Sorry it's late

but here are some of our Fourth of July pictures. We traveled up to Yankee Meadows, complete with picnic and Harry Potter books( I had to get ready for the final one coming out this Saturday :) ) and spread out our blanket. The day was beautiful. Not too hot up in the mountains and not too many people there either. Tyson mostly had fun playing in the dirt. He is not a crawler. Has never been interested in that, but if he can get a mouthful of dirt, he's gonna find a way to get there. Now, he just walks along all of the walls and furniture. He just isn't brave enough to let go yet.

When Allie and Derek came down, she took some fabulous pictures of us. thanks girl!

I realized today that I am a little out of control.

I have an obsessive personality. I have accepted this fact. I'm not creepy in that I'm going to stalk someone or anything, but I seem to be an all-or-nothing kind of a girl. I can scrapbook all day long for a week straight no problem. Then I can read book after book after book. Watch the same movie over and over. Crazy I know. I love sateen stripes on just about anything. I can't seem to buy enough bowls for the kitchen.
I think Allie had a post on OCD-ish-ness. I feel I have to add to that. You might remember my post of my new mouse pad and paper pad. I love the pattern.

LOVE
.

As I was wandering my house this morning I decided I might just love it a little too much. I think it might be the damask pattern. I'm not sure if all these things fit into the category. Maybe one of you know more about decorating patterns and can clue me in, but when I see something that fits into this basic theme I go a little nutso. Doesn't have to be any specific color. I'll take them all, thanks. I think I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Allie had this bag first. When I saw it, I knew I had to have one as well. I could not resist.

Super cute blank notecard.

Fabric for throw pillows. Not this pink in real life. More like red.

As though this wasn't enough. Check out these things I am dying to get!

Tyson's World

Tyson says "hello people".

"Boy, these dishtowels just keep comin' and comin'. "

"Not sure that I like being out here in the grass with daddy sleeping and not paying any attention to me."

"Oooo, I think I hear a motorcycle"

"I like to smile with my teeth all askew. Sorry parents, a lot of orthodontal appointments await us."

"Mommy, the grass is hurting my legs!"

" I just can't seem to get comfortable"

"Daddy always makes everything better."
