Christmas Time: Part I

Our Christmas was filled with lots of adventures and warmth.

A girls' night out

Good friends, lots of laughter, lots of late-night talking, must be another of our get-togethers.

I left this one in color so you could fully appreciate Barb's sweater. Whom ever one wore the ugliest Christmas sweater won an award.

I asked Shawna if she was naughty or nice this year...... I suppose we know the answer. Or maybe just being a mom does this to you. :)

Check this out

Although I really liked the movie, I really liked this as well. ;)

I feel so festive I could dance about........ okay, let's face it, I am. :)

Just thought I would share some of the Christmas cheer I am feeling. I got the house mostly all done last week. I had loads of fun packing the totes full of decorations in and out of the house, NOT. But, I did have a blast unwrapping it all and putting it in fun places. This was all done while watching Christmas movies such as Elf and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. You just can't really decorate all Christmasy without hearing Jim Carrey say "What is that stench? It's fantastic!" Dusty was a champ and hung all of the outdoor decorations without any nudging on my part.

I put Christmas trees in our bedrooms this year. I love the extra light it adds and I always turn it on when we read in bed.

Each year I put out a basket full of Christmas books. Tyson loves to pull them all out and look at the pictures of Nativities, Reindeer, or Christmas trains.

I bought these new spiky ornaments this year, and I love the retro-trendy look they have to them. They really add lots of texture to the tree.

You can barely see it, but we got an early present in the form of a fabulous, cushy red rug. It has really warmed the room up. We decided to put our tree in the corner this year. Everyone teases us about how huge the tree is.... but, alas, it really does take up a big chunk of the room. Hopefully all the company we have this year can still fit around it. Oh, and that may or may not be one of Stephenie Meyer's books open on the couch.

I could probably stare at a Christmas tree all day long. I love the ambiance they produce.

I also got the chance to "practice my Christmas wrapping". It was "joyful and triumphant".

From Thanksgiving

My family members, when we get together, are all loud, full of laughter, and just generally rambunctious. I love it. I got a few random shots in the hotel room. My favorites to watch out for are the people in the background. The multi-coloreds are for my parents.
