As she gets bigger . . .

Six week glamour shots.  Ruby is already in 3-6 months clothes.  It was hard to give away her little clothes that she hardly wore, but seemed so precious already to me.

Her hair was already starting to lighten up, and thin a little bit.  She was starting to smile at us by this point, giving her best smiles to her brothers it seems.

Almost ready for sleep!  Thank heavens for swaddlers!

The hazards of having a baby around.  Ruby does what we call the "monster vomit" where she launches the entire contents of her stomach out all over.  She seems to do it the most in the early afternoon, but other than that we can't figure out any pattern.  She is happy and then WATCH OUT!

My parents came down when she was about 2 months old.  Ruby got lots of snuggles! Isn't my Dad the cutest?

The first uncle cuddle from Will.

My Mom helped me get Ruby down for naps.  Ruby doesn't cry much, and goes down for her naps easily.

Ruby gets lots of brother time, and Joy seems to bask in all the attention as well!

Sometimes I got lazy and left Ruby in my bed after those early morning feedings.  She seemed to sleep more deeply in my bed.  She slept through the chaos of the morning and the boys didn't seem to bother her during this morning nap time.

Good morning sleepy head!

She's 3 months old now!  We were in the middle of our move to Worland and I'm not gonna lie, I don't want to move with a small baby ever again.

We left the boys in Star Valley while we finished packing up the house and found a place to live in Worland.  It was a hectic three weeks!  Joy came over every day to tend Ruby while I packed up.  She was a life saver!  Then she drove up to Star Valley with me and then on to Worland.  The boys love having her around and it made the hours in the car so much easier!

outtakes

Here are a few outtakes from our school year photo shoot.  Little crazies!  Good thing they are so darn cute! I hadn't taken updated photos since last summer, so I bribed my children into being good and hauled them around town for some pictures.

And last by not least

The last room in the house to show you.... Ruby's room and my craft room.  Half and half.  Ironically, I can't use my half when Ruby is napping, and so it hasn't been used at all yet!  ha ha

This was the last room to get put together.  It was the catch-all room for quite awhile.  Didn't know where it should go?  Put it in Ruby's room.  She didn't seem to care!

All the time I sat in there feeding her, I would think about where I wanted everything to go. So the actual organizing process went rather quickly when I finally got around to it.

Ruby slept in a little wooden bassinet for a long time, till she was just too big for it.  So we finally bought a crib and set it up for her. I had so much fun putting together her little "festival" as Dusty calls it, over her crib.

This is the first baby we have had a changing table for.  It came as a combo with the crib.  What a miracle not to have to bend over every single time we change her!

Before I had Ruby, I distracted myself by making a few kinds of bow/flowers for her hair.  I had lots of fun!  Two of the flowers near the bottom were brought back from Hawaii from Grandma Hoopes.

Ruby is starting to have longer awake times between naps, and hopefully I can get in here and get some memory keeping done.  I want to put together my December Daily before Halloween comes, and I am also doing my Week in the Life project in a few weeks.  I ordered the Ali Edwards kit for my birthday and am so excited for it to come!

The closet it divided in half as well.  Half craft stuff and half baby girl stuff.

Ok and some bigger girl stuff as well, since there isn't room in the master closet for my stuff.  I dream of the day when I won't have crammed closets!  maybe someday. . .

Summer highlights for Tyson

This boy of ours is getting big!  I can't believe he turned 8 years old this summer and was baptized.  He is such an intelligent little guy, asking questions, working things over in his mind, thinking, always thinking.  He read through almost the entire Lemony Snicket series this summer and earned almost $25 doing our "penny a page" reading program.  We made a checklist of things to do this summer and I think we got through almost all of them.

Some of our summer list:
see the Greenshow
make homemade strawberry lemonade
ride bikes in the kid-car-wash
make smores out back
sleep outside
watch fireworks
going swimming a bunch
visit Star Valley
make rocket balloons
eat humbugs

I think we did all of them!

This was his last day of school in Cedar.  Such a cute little first grader.

Since we only do friend parties when the kids are 5, 8, 12, and 16, it was a year for a friend party!  Tyson choose to do a small one up at the aquatic center.  Man, these pictures makes me miss Cedar so badly!  Dusty was the person in the pool, and I stayed out in case we had to deal with an emergency.

Tyson is getting really confident in the deep-end.

Can you find Jackie?

It was nice to have a little get-together for Tyson before we moved.  It was just the day before this that we had decided to accept Dusty's job offer.

We baptized Tyson up in Star Valley because it was easier to get our families together.
We had been talking about baptism for quite a while and Tyson was excited for it.

Afterwards we had a little luncheon in the pavilion with our families.  It was a little chaotic at first because my mind was so scattered with the details of my upended life, but thankfully the moms helped me out and we got it all together.

Is this proof that Will truly does love his sisters?

This is a cute one of the cousins bonding yet again over electronics.

The day we moved, I asked the boys where they wanted to take pictures and they told me, in front of the tree-house.

We had so many great times in this backyard.  My heart aches to think that we won't ever play in it again.  But onward and upward!

Dusty took Tyson to the local skate park a couple of times this summer.  Tyson got to be a little bit braver on his bike and scooter.  It's not the environment I want my kids to hang out in though, so I was glad that Dusty was there to monitor.

Tyson really had fun with his cousins in Star Valley this summer.  I am glad that they are finally getting to know each other.

This was the first day of second grade here in Worland.  Tyson did great!  We had already met his teacher and he knew a few kids in his class so he wasn't nervous at all!  He has done so great with this move and I can only think of one time that he had a sad moment.
