The reasons I like where I am

I love the place we live in right now. Yes, it may be small, but we are cozy and I think it is just right for a three people family. I love the view we have of the mountains from our house. I can sit on the couch and look at the beautiful red rocks of the mountain.

We are right next to the University; you can see the Stadium in this picture.

I thoroughly enjoy the big trees that line our street. A few days ago the city trimmed some of the longer branches that hung over the road. Tyson thought that was pretty cool.

I think (and hope) our front porch is welcoming. I water our container plants almost daily and love to see them grow and expand. These geraniums were such a fun color, I couldn't resist getting them.

I think all kitchens should be full of light. Our south and east windows let a lot of sun in. I also like our bowl of lemons. Usually about twice a month I wish they were real because I really need a lemon right then.

Dusty is the one who first found that the window in our door opened. Sometimes he opens it first and requests that the visitor "please state your business. Are you friend or foe?"

My black eyed susans are my favorite flower in the yard right now. They are so happy in the little corner that they are growing in. They really brighten up our front yard.

More hot pink geraniums. This time hanging.

Our garden is another reason I love our house. Nothing is better than growing something yummy. Funnily, we seem to have three giant zucchini plants, and no yellow squash plants (yet). Not quite sure how that happened. You can only imagine how much zucchini we harvest. Yikes! If any of you have good zucchini recipes, let me know. I wish I could mail you some. :)

Our apple tree provides lots of shade to our backyard, and it's doing better this year since Dusty has been avidly spraying it.

I love the paint color in our bedroom. It is calming and relaxing to me.

I also love the wood floors in our living room. (I have already used this picture to show this bag, but I thought it work for the floors too).

It feels good to like where I am. It also makes cleaning a little bit more fun.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful. You're good at that. And I, in fact DO have at least 2 good zucchini recipes. I'll have to look them up and post for you.

I think that you like where you are because you see the good in things, and you are a generally happy person. In addition, you have the ability and great talent to make things beautiful around you. So really, it's partially your fault.

I also have some good zucchini recipes in addition to a willing stomach. We actually might have some plants in our garden.

Yes you do have a gorgeous back yard- and I wish we had that many trees lined up on our street so your are lucky.
