What We've Been Up To

The past few days have been exciting. Just want to say thanks to everybody for some fun birthday surprises. Sara and Lauren threw me a little dinner complete with fahitas and chocolate molten cake. Yum, yum, and more yum. Dusty took me to Stardust which is a magical movie that everyone should see. A dude also brought me some pretty flowers on my birthday, which Dusty said was purely coincidental. I was going to take a picture of them, but Dusty stashed the camera somewhere I can't find. I'll have to remember to ask him where it is. I got lots of yummies from friends in the ward too, and boy howdy, some of these girls really know how to cook. Also, I want to send a thanks out for the smell-good stuff too. (you girls know who you are). :)
I also had some fun emails waiting in my inbox. thanks for that stuff too! Just to clarify, my purpose here isn't to let everyone know what I got for my birthday, but to tell everyone how much I appreciate their thoughtfulness. And since most of them read this blog, this is a good way to start.

Today, we made Amish Friendship Bread. Since I had received it before quite recently, I just made tons of the bread instead of giving others starters. I wish I could share some with you who live far away. Tyson thought it turned out pretty nicely. He pretty much only wanted to eat it for lunch. We have buco amounts of ripe tomatoes between our garden and the lady's next door for whom I'm watering, so I thought I would try a bruschetta recipe I found, but if any of you have one that you know is good, please send it.

I just finished a project for someone who's birthday is coming up. That's about all I can say about that so I don't give anything away.

Here's something funny before I finish up.

Tyson sits in his stroller while I water the flowers next door. Since it's on the corner, many college kids walk by on their way to class. Most don't see Tyson watching them, and sometimes he hollers out at them. Sometimes this gives them quite a start, if you can imagine it. Tyson can whoop it up pretty loudly. I can't help but laugh.

Hey Jess- I am glad you had a fabulous birthday! You deserve it! I have the best Bruschetta French bread grill recipe-seriously I never leave a party without jotting down the recipe at least three times, so give me a call and I will give it to ya!
