So excited I can barely tell you

Anyone who knows me, or has at least been reading this blog knows that I am a slight fan of Stephenie Meyer's delicious books, Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse. Okay, maybe I'm borderline fanatic. I frequent many fan sites that are out there and try to stay current on the updates. While I'm not so into it that I am planning a trip to the movie set in Oregon, I do like to see the new movie posts about the filming and see pictures of the cast. I'm not a full-fledged member of Twilight Moms, (although I probably should be), but I get pretty darn excited about anything Twilight related. Which brings me to the subject of this post.
On our Girls Weekend, my little sis Kiki whips out a thick, spiral bound manuscript. I don't pay much attention until my other sister Lauren practically lays her flat for it. Because that is a rarity in the family, violent sisterly teasing I mean, I figure at this point, I should get involved, or at least find out what this "manuscript" is. Kiki tells us it's the first 12 chapters of Midnight Sun, also by Stephenie Meyer. whaaaaaat? (I know, I know..... breathe, ladies).
I had read the first chapter that she had posted on her website and fallen in love from the first paragraph. She plans on publishing the full book eventually.
For all of you who are wondering what in the heck I am talking about, Midnight Sun is the telling of the Twilight story from Edward's point of view (the original is in Bella's). Believe me, it's fantastic.
Anyways, back to the story..... Basically, after slightly hyperventilating, I ask Kiki where in the world she got her hands on such a thing. She explained that Stephenie typed it out and sent it to schools for reading groups. Kiki's school has been passing it around for awhile and she timed it, perfectly I might add, so that she would have it when she met up with us for the weekend. It's unedited, lengthy, and, it's legit.
Let me tell you, it is delicious. If I loved Edward before, it's grown..(at least as much as you can love a fictional character I suppose). I am eagerly awaiting the fourth and final book, Breaking Dawn and in the meantime, this is a wonderful, delightful, dramatic, vampirish distraction.
The insights into the Cullen family are fun. They really have good relationships with each other. And, although I didn't imagine it happening, this point of view really helped me like Bella lots better as well. The only bad thing is that Stephenie stopped right before the "meadow" scene (I know, heartbreaker).
So, to my fellow friends who live close by, I may or may not have a copy of this manuscript. :)
If you would like to get your hands on it, it might cost you a tiny fee, such as donating your child as my slave, or something like that. Kidding.
Let me know. Don't fight the urge.

For any others who want to check out the online schtuff, here's a good fan site, here's another. This is a good movie of the upcoming film.

Also, the director of the film just barely started a blog for the movie. I think it will be a good source for updates.

Meanwhile, I think I'm going to go caress, I mean read, the manuscript before I go to bed. nighty night.

Ok so this is sort of weird because you do not know me. I was looking at my friends and family blog’s and went to Katie Huntsmans blog. As I was looking through hers I noticed the name Clint Engleman. I recognized the name, but didn't think that it would be the person I was thinking of. Sure enough I did know him from Nephi. Anyway I started to go through his friends and family to see it there was anyone from Nephi that I would know, and I came across yours. Of course I don’t know you, but what caught my attention was your post on Twilight. So to get to the point I am a HUGE Twilight fan. My husband thinks I am crazy. I promise that I am not a psycho I was just wondering if I might be able to borrow and read the manuscript of Midnight Sun. I have also read the first chapter, but am dieing to read more. I live in Cedar City up in the Sunset Ridge Duplexes. If you could let me know if I may or may not read it that would be great. My e-mail address is intensekenz@yahoo.com. Just drop me a note and let me know.

Thanks
