Just wanted to say

Dusty is a terrific Dad. He does everything from the nightly bathing and cleaning up throw-up in the middle of the night to making sure Tyson is read to every day and making sure his clothes match when he dresses him. Kids learn so many things from dads, and I think I heard once in one of my classes that children learn empathy from their fathers. I know for a fact that Dusty is giving Tyson the opportunity to add this to his character. He is very considerate to Tyson, is soft-spoken, helps him play kindly with the other children, and treats everyone with respect. He is also very affectionate with Tyson. It makes me happy to know that I choose someone so great to be the father of my children.

My own dad continues to be a great influence in my life. From him I learned how truly great a man can be. That a man can be a tower of strength; someone who you can absolutely depend on, and also someone who is sensitive and thoughtful. I know that having such a great example helped me choose who I wanted to marry. In Primary on Sunday, we asked the children why they loved their dads. My brother, who was visiting, answered "He is always happy". What a testament to my dad. Thanks for sharing your happiness with me.

So, Happy Father's Day! to Dusty and my Dad. Thanks for being in my life.
