December Daily 2009: Foundation Part 1

I got my album all completed this week and had so much fun putting it together! Now I just can't wait to fill it up with memories. If you are wondering what a December Daily album is exactly, go here and here. Be sure to read through Ali's question and answer posts about December Daily and look at her amazing albums.

Here's a random sampling of pages. I remember from last year that I had wished I had added more pages in between the numbered ones, so my book is quite a bit thicker this year. I solved this problem by attaching some ribbon to tie it closed when it's finished. Also, last December I documented the entire month, whereas this year, I am stopping on the 25th.

Because I knew I was doing another album this year, I was on the lookout for random stuff to add the book. I also had fun collecting things throughout the year that aren't necessarily "Christmas" things but would work wonderfully such as, unique envelopes and felt pockets and pages. I also loved finding little things to stick in it like: mini candy canes, tiny jingle bells, tinsel, whatever I could find.

I added more acrylic pages this year than last. I found some great little album kits that were on clearance after the summer and used those.

More to come next week, along with great Etsy shops to find fun Christmas tags.

your version is so you! i love it. books like that with all the randomness and crazy pulled together are so wonderful to hold in your hands and eat up. i've got one half ready. only because i started it last year (meant for last year) but was miserably pregnant so it never happened. here's to this year!

Very impressed to say the least. That is a lot of work, yet totally worth it for you and all that will look and be inspired by it.
