December First

A documentation of the Nativities around the house. It was surprising that even as I started photographing the most obvious, I kept finding them in other places I had forgotten about. There is something so peaceful about the idea of the Nativity. Wondering adults and animals alike, kneeling around a little baby who had just embraced this world.

This nativity was started by my Mother in Law, given in installments.

My Grandparents brought this back after a mission in Bolivia.

This is a little mini set sitting on our coffee table for Tyson to gently play with.

My mother gave us this little reminder.

This beauty was hand whittled by my aunt Kathy who so graciously carved it for me after I had offhandedly mentioned that I would like something like it one day. I found it sitting in the front seat of my car! Such a great surprise! I keep it in our room year round as I think it is so beautiful and that it inspires such family closeness.

This tiny nativity scene is nestled in with our Christmas village.

Another miniature set, this Celtic nativity is unique and simple.

My grandma quilted this wall hanging for me last year. So thoughtful and delightful.
