December Fourteenth

Today I had some good experiences reading. I've been giving some thought about what I wanted to read this Christmas time, and remembered the books that my Dad gave Dusty last year. Gethsemane, Golgotha, and The Garden Tomb. I started Gethsemane a few days ago. While not exactly "Christmasy", I felt that these books would help me better appreciate the little baby Jesus we celebrate this time of year. The baby, so humbly born, who grew into a man and saved us all.

For my December Daily album, I may add a little letter to Tyson about the importance of reading the Christmas story, reading material that makes you feel good and that enlightens you.

I like it...anything that helps us remember even more what He did for us. The letter idea to Tyson is wonderful...I might have to do that too, if you don't mind.
Our home teacher shared a tradition the other night that I really liked. It's that when they put up the nativity scene (a special one) they don't add Baby Jesus until Christmas morning...prior to opening presents. I'm going to adopt that too.
Just thought I would share :)

Reading the entry for Dec Twelfth and Thirteenth I thought that I was reading out of a Rosamunde Pilcher novel. Where was Mrs. Sneade with her "Hoover"? That is why it is my fav book because life is so surreal.
Entry for the Fourteenth. Awesome books. Glad that you are digesting them. They are not a quick read. Toop
